MFT (they/she)
I am a therapist supporting individuals, couples, and families of all ages as they explore understandings of themselves and their relationships. I am curious, nonjudgmental, and frank in style. A combination of care and challenge informs my approach to building and fortifying our work together, with the goal of fostering a space for honest conversations to unfold.
My therapeutic framework is rooted in systems theory, which emphasizes the importance of considering broader contexts and nuances in understanding the individual, their relationships, and family alongside attendant issues of ethnicity, culture, gender, race, ability, and class.
If you feel we might be a good fit, I am available to answer questions, provide additional information, or find a time to discuss working together either in person or over the phone.
Some areas I explore with clients include:
- Disability (lifelong/acquired; visible/invisible)
- Grief & loss (ambiguous/non-death; death; dying; bereavement)
- Paraphilia & non-normative attractions
- High-conflict couples
- Communication issues & relational distress
- Low desire, desire discrepancy, exploring kink, & rekindling intimacy
- Developing assertiveness & self-advocacy skills
- Issues related to anxiety/stress, self-worth/self-esteem
