MFT (she/her)

Hello, my name is Jannah (she/her), and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. Healing is your birthright—and it doesn’t require becoming someone new. I believe therapy is a process of returning to your most authentic self, releasing the layers of trauma, shame, or societal expectation that may have clouded your inner knowing.

I support individuals and couples navigating emotional disconnection, sexual shame, spiritual trauma, and the complexities of intimacy. Whether you’re healing from childhood wounds, exploring your desires, or struggling to feel fully seen in your relationships, I offer a space where you can reconnect with your body, your truth, and your power.

As a Southern, neurodivergent, African American woman, I bring a lived understanding of what it means to hold multiple identities in a world that often asks us to fragment ourselves. My practice is rooted in cultural responsiveness, allyship, and an unwavering respect for the wisdom clients carry in their bodies, stories, and lineages.

My work is real, grounded, collaborative, and compassionate—but also direct. I gently challenge clients to be present with their emotions, to feel deeply, release what no longer serves them, and move forward with clarity and intention. Our work together may feel spacious, honest, and rooted in both radical acceptance and change—when it calls for it.

I also view pleasure as a profound act of healing. Pleasure is not indulgence—it’s tuning into the grace, sweetness, and surrender that life offers us when we feel safe enough to receive it.

My therapeutic approach is intuitive, relational, and holistic. I blend somatic and emotion-focused practices with culturally responsive therapy to honor each client’s unique story and background. I specialize in:

Sexuality & Intimacy
Desire discrepancies, sexual shame, pleasure-centered healing, sensuality, lack of intimacy, and body-inclusive therapy

Relationships & Identity
Infidelity, communication struggles, relationship structures (monogamy and non-monogamy), racial identity, cultural and generational trauma, immigration, and grief/loss

Spiritual & Somatic Healing
Religious and spiritual trauma, sexual trauma, nervous system regulation, somatic processing, and mindfulness-based stress reduction

LGBTQIA+Affirming & Culturally Responsive Therapy
Inclusive, identity-affirming therapy rooted in cultural humility, allyship, and decolonized care

My clinical foundation includes a Master’s in Clinical Psychology (Spirituality, Mind, & Body – Columbia University) and a Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy with a specialization in Sex Therapy. My training draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family

Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and somatic practices such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space for clients of all identities and backgrounds. I believe that healing is possible—and that your wholeness, pleasure, and emotional safety matter.

Let’s work together to create the intimacy and self-trust you’ve been longing for.
