BA - Intern Therapist
Relationships are the foundation of our lives – especially our most intimate relationships and our relationship to our own self. When they are going well, the world seems like a brighter place of potential, similarly when they are rocky, they can darken many aspects of our lives and block our possibility.
Hello! My name is Daniel and I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and other dyads. My goal is to help you empower your relationships: to your most loved ones, to the world, and most importantly, to your own self.
Leveraging creativity, curiosity, accountability, and a strengths-based perspective, I aim to help you identify your own unique path towards navigating your life and relationships, while nurturing the awareness you need to be in integrity with your values, goals, and desires. I hold my clients’ own autonomy, deep inner wisdom and desire for a life of personal authenticity, joy and connection at the forefront.
With a style that is caring, collaborative and compassionate, I provide self and relational empowerment practices that can: improve your communication skills, expand your ability to deeply understand yourself and others, traverse conflict more successfully, move towards feeling more confident and comfortable within your own self, nurture deeper intimacy and sexual potential, increase your awareness of your emotional landscape, become more loving & compassionate towards all of who you are, find more pleasure & play, and become empowered in your life and your relationships.
In couples therapy, I work through an attachment-based lens, helping partners excavate the needs found underneath their conflicts. By identifying and shifting unhelpful patterns that are keeping a couple stuck, we reimagine new, life-giving ways of doing relationship and build skills that create a more fulfilling heart-centered connection. Additionally, I support couples in enhancing emotional and sexual intimacy and becoming more present, secure and connected to both themselves and towards each other.
As a yoga & meditation teacher and body-worker of over 16 years, I often integrate somatic practices – including mindfulness, meditation, ayurveda, yoga, and embodiment techniques – into my therapeutic approach when beneficial for my clients.
Some areas of my interest are:

I am currently a pre-licensed MFT intern and a certified relationship coach. My therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. I blend psychodynamic, systemic, attachment-based, somatic, mindfulness, and relational theories, and incorporate parts work and nervous system work into therapy. Working systemically, I take into account the legacies, histories, and societal pressures each person or partner may carry. Working from embodiment, I take into consideration the body’s ability to affirm or block our capacity for joy, pleasure and individual &/or relational connection.
Heart-centered, I bring my own personality to sessions and offer a down-to-earth relatability, warmth, care, support, challenge, and humor. Working with clients of diverse ages and backgrounds, I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, sex-positive, and kink-friendly and am dedicated to a practice of self compassion, social justice, cultural competence, cultural humility, and anti-racism.
