MFT

Aliyyah (she/her) is a queer and neurodiversity affirming therapist specializing in sex and relationship therapy. She uses compassion, mindfulness and a social justice and liberation-oriented lens to strengthen relationships with yourself and others.

Her therapeutic practice honors her clients’ autonomy and intuition. Aliyyah believes each client is the expert of their own life and her goal is to support and strengthen that connection through building a greater sense of self-compassion and understanding.

Aliyyah uses a trauma informed and intersectional lens in her work to explore current challenges and works with clients to understand how systemic and intergenerational roots also contribute to current struggles. In working with Aliyyah, you can expect conversations surrounding family experiences, naming systems of power and oppression, gentle challenging of self-limiting beliefs, and exploring relationship patterns.

Aliyyah offers a nonjudgmental space to explore a variety of topics. Some of her areas of expertise are:

  • Sexual desire discrepancies
  • Struggles with experiencing and expressing emotion
  • Working through shame, self-judgment or criticism
  • Conflict/communication challenges
  • Building trust and working through infidelity or jealousy
  • Exploring gender identity and sexuality
  • Kink and BDSM
  • Poly/CNM relationships
  • Interracial relationships
  • Racial identity development
  • Coping with systemic oppression
  • Exploring creative means of expression (ex. writing, art, music)

Aliyyah understands these areas can feel vulnerable to speak about and is committed to working at a pace that feels safe and right for you and your partner(s).
