BSN, RN - Intern Therapist (she/her)

Hi, I’m Abby (she/her).

I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern currently completing my clinical training at Thomas Jefferson University. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a psychiatric nurse in acute psychiatric, crisis response, and medical settings, experiences that continue to inform my holistic understanding of healing and human resilience.

I believe that our struggles often make sense when viewed in the context of our relationships, family histories, identities, and lived experiences. Therapy offers a space to slow down, become curious about the patterns that shape us, and reconnect with parts of ourselves that may have been hidden, wounded, or forgotten. Grounded in systems thinking, attachment theory, and depth-oriented approaches, I view therapy as a living, relational ecosystem, one that asks for curiosity, courage, and compassion in equal measure. While insight can be an important part of healing, meaningful change often occurs when we begin relating to ourselves, our emotions, and others in new ways.

Together, we may explore relationship dynamics, family systems, dreams, identity, intimacy, emotional patterns, and the stories you’ve inherited about who you are and who you’re allowed to become. I strive to create a space that is warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental, where humor, creativity, vulnerability, and honest reflection can coexist.

I work with individuals, couples, and families, including those navigating traditional and nontraditional relationship structures. I am particularly drawn to working with people exploring identity, intimacy, sexuality, relationship challenges, life transitions, and recurring patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves.

My work is informed by a deep interest in relationships, trauma, identity, and the alchemy that occurs when people are met with presence in their most vulnerable moments. I believe healing is not about becoming someone new, but about recovering access to the parts of yourself that have always been there. Therapy can offer an opportunity to cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself, strengthen your capacity for authentic relationships with others, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and fully your own.

Across all spaces, my work is guided by a devotion to emotional truth, relational repair, and the belief that healing happens not in isolation, but in connection.
